De-banking is a major issue in the broader digital asset ecosystem, but it is not the only industry to face account closures from the traditional banking sector. This paper and its policy suggestions provide solutions for state lawmakers to address concerns over de-banking. Specifically the paper suggests states 'dust off' the old powers granted to them in the uniquely American dual-banking system. The goal is to help state's be more active in protecting individuals and industry from discriminatory banking practices originating from the federal government.
